Discovered 1999 Oct. 12 by J. Tichá and M. Tichý at Kleť.
Jorvik was the name of the ninth-century Viking settlement that preceded the modern York in northeastern England. The discoverers visited York, including archaeological remnants of Jorvik, during the IAU General Assembly in 2000.
