|Zikmund Lucemburský or Sigismund of Luxembourg (1368–1437), son of Charles IV, became the Holy Roman Emperor, king of Hungary, Croatia, Germany and Bohemia. A distinguished European statesman, he served as one of the driving forces behind the Council of Constance, and was also a great patron of the arts.|
